Former One Direction singer Zayn Malik has recently opened up about his true feelings during his time with the band. He has admitted that if he could do it all again, he would wait an extra year or two to go on the X factor.

The singer believes that he was too young and stupid when he joined and would have liked to have been more mature upon starting his life of fame.
He stated, "I've never been able to have, what's that word? Anonymity. If I could go back, I'd have a few more years of anonymity".
Zayn also expressed that he was very ignorant and narrow minded as a 17 year old and thought that even appearing on the X factor would earn him millions of pounds.
The management of the band was also brought up by the popstar. He said that they were very controlling of the band members to the point where tattoo's, hairstyles and clothes had to be signed off.

Although he does harbour these regrets, Zayn is now worth a reported £30 million, owns 3 homes and has a super model girlfriend, so all is not that bad.
